There are two ways to compress files using 7zip. Both are easy to do so just follow the steps and refer to the images to understand the process more clearly.
First method:
Step 1. Open your Windows Explorer and locate the files you want to compress.
Step 2. Highlight all the files and right-click on it.
Step 3. Click the 7zip option and select Add to Archive.
Step 4. Name your file and choose the "Zip" as the Archive format. Then, click OK.
Second method:
Step 1. Launch 7zip on your computer.
Step 2. Choose the location where you saved the files.
Step 3. Highlight the files you want to compress and click "Add."
Step 4. Lastly, name your file and select the zip format. Then, click OK.
As you can see, there is an option where you can lock your compressed files with a password. If you want to secure it, just enter the password you want to use on the Encryption box.
Step 1. Select the zipped folder you want to unpack and right-click on it.
Step 2. Select 7zip, then choose where you want to extract the files. I recommend you to choose the "Extract here" option so you can find it easily.
Step 3. After waiting, your files will be extracted individually.
